Description
The Serenity is a 182x65cm wall sculpture composed of overlapping circular discs in rose gold-plated stainless steel, arranged in a horizontal cluster that projects 30mm from the wall. Each disc is individually cut and plated, then layered to create depth and tonal variation across the composition. The rose gold plating is a warm metallic finish that sits between copper and polished brass in tone, reflecting ambient light at different angles as the discs overlap.
Designed for large wall expanses in living rooms, entrance halls, hotel lobbies and dining rooms, the Serenity can be hung horizontally as shown or rotated 90 degrees to fit vertical wall spaces such as stairwells and narrow passages. The 182cm width suits walls between 2.4m and 3.5m wide, giving the piece enough breathing room to read as sculpture rather than filler. At 8kg the piece requires two secure wall fixings into masonry or into wall studs for plasterboard installations.
The stainless steel base gives the discs structural rigidity while keeping the overall weight manageable for wall mounting. The rose gold plating is applied over the steel substrate and buffed to a high-gloss finish that catches and reflects light sources in the room, creating shifting highlights across the disc surfaces throughout the day. The plating is sealed to resist tarnishing and fingerprints during installation, though gloves are recommended when handling to preserve the finish.
The Serenity is from Schuller, a Spanish manufacturer specialising in contemporary metal wall sculpture and decorative lighting. The piece pairs well with neutral wall colours (off-white, warm grey, soft taupe) where the rose gold reads clearly, and with interiors that already mix metallic finishes such as brushed brass, copper or black steel in lighting and hardware.

Frequently Asked
Can the Serenity be hung vertically instead of horizontally?
Yes. The wall fixings are designed to support the piece in either orientation. Rotating it 90 degrees changes the dimensions to 65cm wide by 182cm tall, making it suitable for narrow wall spaces such as stairwells or beside doorways.
What wall fixings are needed?
At 8kg the Serenity requires two secure wall fixings. For solid masonry walls use 6mm wall plugs and screws. For plasterboard walls the fixings must locate into wall studs or use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to at least 10kg each.
Does the rose gold finish tarnish?
The rose gold plating is sealed to resist tarnishing and environmental exposure. Normal indoor conditions will not cause the finish to dull. Avoid placing the sculpture in direct sunlight for prolonged periods, as UV exposure can fade metallic finishes over time.
How is the sculpture cleaned?
Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but dry the metal immediately to avoid water spots. Do not use metal polish, household cleaners or abrasive materials on the plated finish.
