Description

The Roxan is a 57cm circular suspension light formed from a continuous ring of carved-effect clear acrylic spheres mounted on a brushed gold aluminium frame. An integrated 30W LED strip behind the spheres casts warm 3000K light through the textured acrylic, creating a soft refracted glow rather than direct downlight. The circular profile sits parallel to the ceiling with the spheres forming the perimeter of the ring.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and bedroom centrepieces where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Roxan works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The suspension cables are adjustable between 50cm minimum and 120cm maximum drop, allowing the ring to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or lower in a double-height entrance hall. The brushed gold canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and conceals the cable run.

Each acrylic sphere is carved with a mesh-like surface texture that breaks up the light passing through it, diffusing the LED output into a softer ambient wash. The brushed gold aluminium frame provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with brass hardware, warm-toned timber and neutral interiors. At 2.81kg the fitting has a substantial presence without requiring additional ceiling reinforcement on standard plasterboard ceilings. The dimmable LED allows brightness to be adjusted from full 30W output down to a low ambient setting, controlled via a compatible wall dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 50cm to 120cm. For a dining table the ring typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Higher ceilings can accommodate a longer drop for a more dramatic installation.

Does the light shine upwards or downwards?

The LED strip is positioned behind the acrylic spheres, so light is refracted outwards and downwards through the textured surface rather than casting a focused beam. The Roxan provides ambient wash lighting rather than direct task light.

Can the gold finish be cleaned?

The brushed gold aluminium frame can be wiped gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water and dry immediately. Avoid household polishes or abrasive cleaners that can damage the brushed finish.
