Description

The Remyck is a 1.49m industrial floor lamp built around a triangular metal shade suspended from a bent arm on a height-adjustable vertical stem. The matte black finish covers the entire frame, from the 309mm circular base to the conical shade, which houses a single E27 socket pointing downward into the shade interior.

Designed as task lighting for reading positions beside armchairs, sofas or beds, the Remyck directs light downward and outward through the open base of the shade. The height-adjustable stem allows the shade to be positioned between approximately 1.2m and 1.49m from floor level, accommodating different seating heights and reading angles. The lamp works in living rooms, bedrooms and home offices where directed light is needed without a ceiling fitting.

The triangular shade measures 229mm across at its widest point and angles the light toward the floor in a defined cone rather than diffusing it in all directions. The matte black finish absorbs ambient light during the day and minimises reflections when the lamp is lit in the evening. The circular base gives stability on hard floors and low-pile rugs without needing additional weighting. The lamp accepts any standard E27 bulb up to 60W, allowing control over colour temperature and brightness depending on the chosen LED or filament bulb.

What bulb does the Remyck take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for reading, or a vintage-style filament bulb for ambient use.

Can the height be adjusted?

Yes. The stem is height-adjustable, allowing the shade to be positioned between approximately 1.2m and 1.49m from floor level to suit different seating heights and lighting angles.

Is the shade directional?

The triangular shade directs light downward in a focused cone through its open base. The shade itself is fixed in orientation on the arm, but the arm projects the shade forward from the vertical stem, angling the light toward the floor in front of the lamp.

Is it stable on rugs?

The 309mm circular base provides stability on bare floors and short-to-medium pile rugs. On thick or shag rugs, positioning the base where it has firm contact with the floor beneath gives the best stability.
