Description

The 2CR5 is a 6V lithium battery, and it is not a cell you will find in a supermarket multipack. The body is a single moulded block: two cylinders sitting side by side and joined along their length, with both contacts on one flat face so the cell can only seat in a compartment one way round. Panasonic prints Photo Lithium and 6V on the card, together with a camera icon, which tells you plainly what the format was built to run. You receive one cell, sealed on its retail card.

If you are replacing a battery rather than buying ahead, check the marking on the old cell or inside the compartment door before you order. 2CR5 is a specific format and nothing else drops into its place: the 6V output, the block shape and the position of the two contacts are all part of the fit. Where a compartment holds two separate cylindrical cells, you need a different size altogether.
