Marea Alabaster LED Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Brushed Brass

The Marea is a 560mm semi-flush ceiling light built around a curved organic-shaped brushed brass frame that cradles a natural Spanish alabaster diffuser. The asymmetric, fluid silhouette measures 560mm long by 480mm wide with a shallow 300mm projection from the ceiling, and houses an integrated 16W LED running at 3000K warm white through the stone.

The shallow drop makes the Marea suitable for rooms with lower ceilings where a hanging pendant would feel cramped, including bedrooms, hallways, landings, dressing rooms and compact lounges. Mounted directly to a standard ceiling rose, the fixture sits close enough to clear typical 2.3-2.4m ceiling heights without head clearance issues, while still providing the decorative presence of a sculptural fitting rather than a plain flush light.

The body is solid copper finished in brushed brass, with the alabaster panel set gently recessed within the metal frame so the stone reads as a soft glowing pool inside the brass outline. Each alabaster diffuser is cut from a different section of natural Spanish stone, so the veining, mineral lines and tonal variation differ between individual fixtures. The integrated 3000K LED produces a warm light that picks up the brass tone and the natural cream of the alabaster.

Is the Marea suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. As a semi-flush fitting it projects only 300mm from the ceiling, which suits rooms with ceiling heights from around 2.3m upwards. It is a sensible choice where a full pendant would hang too low, such as bedrooms, hallways, landings and dressing rooms.

Does it come with the LED bulb?

Yes. The Marea uses an integrated 16W LED running at 230V mains, with a colour temperature of 3000K (warm white). The LED is built into the fixture, so there is no replaceable bulb to fit on installation.

Does the alabaster vary between fixtures?

Yes. Each diffuser is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral lines and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and means no two Marea fittings look identical when lit.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the stone gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, and do not soak the surface. The brushed brass frame can be dusted with the same cloth.
