Description
The HDview IP 8-channel PoE NVR records up to 8MP resolution from compatible IP cameras, storing footage on a pre-installed 2TB surveillance-grade hard drive. H.265 video compression reduces file sizes by up to 50% compared to H.264 while maintaining image quality, extending storage capacity and reducing bandwidth demands on the network. The NVR supports Power over Ethernet on all eight channels, supplying both data and power to connected cameras over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable run up to 250m per channel.
Designed for residential and small commercial CCTV installations, the NVR handles continuous recording, scheduled recording, motion-triggered recording and intelligent detection modes including line cross detection and perimeter intrusion detection. Simultaneous playback, live view and remote monitoring are supported without interrupting recording. Remote access is available via the HDview mobile app for iOS and Android, allowing live view and playback from anywhere with an internet connection.
The HDMI output delivers up to 4K resolution for viewing on modern monitors and TVs, providing clear playback of recorded footage. USB backup allows footage to be exported to a flash drive for evidence transfer or archival purposes. The metal chassis measures 436mm wide by 291mm deep by 81mm high and weighs 2.57kg, designed for rack mounting or shelf installation in equipment rooms and security control areas.

Frequently Asked
What cameras are compatible with this NVR?
The NVR works with HDview IP cameras and most ONVIF-compliant IP cameras up to 8MP resolution. All eight channels support PoE, so cameras can be powered directly from the NVR without separate power supplies.
How much recording time does the 2TB drive provide?
Recording time depends on resolution, frame rate, compression settings and how many cameras are actively recording. At 8MP with H.265 compression and continuous recording on all eight channels, expect approximately 7-10 days of storage. Motion-triggered recording extends this significantly.
Can I access the NVR remotely?
Yes. The HDview mobile app for iOS and Android allows remote viewing of live feeds and playback of recorded footage over the internet. The NVR must be connected to a router with port forwarding configured or using the cloud service option detailed in the manual.
What's the maximum cable run per camera?
Each PoE channel supports cable runs up to 250m using Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable. This is longer than the standard 100m PoE limit due to the NVR's extended-range PoE capability, but actual performance depends on cable quality and power requirements of the connected camera.
