Description

The Globe is a 3 light bathroom bar spotlight with three frosted glass orbs mounted on individual swivel heads along a matt black pressed steel bar. Each head rotates 350° and tilts 90°, allowing light to be directed across a bathroom mirror, towards a shower area, or angled as general ambient lighting. The IP44 rating makes the fitting suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3.

Designed for wall mounting above bathroom mirrors or ceiling mounting in en-suites and shower rooms, the 100mm diameter globes provide diffused light through frosted glass rather than creating bright spots. Each globe takes a G9 capsule bulb up to 25W (sold separately), and dimming capability depends on the bulb chosen — most G9 LED bulbs are dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer.

The matt black finish on the pressed steel bar and swivel housings suits contemporary bathrooms with black tapware, matt black showerheads, or monochrome tiling. The 187mm projection from the wall or ceiling means the fitting works in bathrooms with at least 500mm of clearance above a basin or 600mm of headroom when ceiling-mounted over a bath. The frosted glass softens the light output and hides the bulb filament or LED chip from direct view.

What bathroom zones is this fitting suitable for?

The IP44 rating makes the Globe suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 — areas outside the shower enclosure and at least 600mm from a bath edge. It is not rated for use inside a shower enclosure (zone 1) or directly above a bath (zone 0).

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes three G9 capsule bulbs up to 25W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm bathroom lighting. Halogen G9 bulbs are also compatible but consume more energy and run hotter.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs fitted. Most G9 LED bulbs are dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Check the bulb packaging before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility.

Can the heads be angled independently?

Yes. Each of the three heads rotates 350° and tilts 90° independently, allowing light to be directed across a mirror, angled towards a shower area, or aimed upwards for ambient ceiling wash.
