The lithium chemistry provides stable voltage output across the battery's discharge cycle and retains charge during storage better than alkaline equivalents.

Supplied as a single battery in child-resistant blister packaging with a tamper-evident seal, the CR1216 suits emergency replacement for devices where the battery has depleted unexpectedly or as a spare for travel kits. The blister pack keeps the cell isolated from metal objects that could cause short-circuits during storage in bags or toolboxes.
