Description

The Duracell CEF14 is a mains-powered NiMH battery charger supplied with two AA rechargeable batteries, rated at 1300mAh capacity each. The charger accepts both AA and AAA NiMH cells and delivers a full charge in approximately 4 hours from empty, using Duracell's hi-speed charging circuit to reduce waiting time between device use.

Designed for household and office use where devices like remotes, wireless keyboards, torches and game controllers consume AA or AAA batteries regularly, the CEF14 reduces the cost and waste of disposable alkaline cells. The charger plugs into a standard 230V UK mains socket and includes an LED indicator showing charging status. When the batteries reach full charge, the automatic shut-off circuit stops current flow to prevent overheating and extend battery lifespan.

The charger housing measures 105mm wide by 67mm deep by 231mm high and weighs 190g unloaded. The two included AA batteries are pre-charged and ready to use out of the box, and can be recharged hundreds of times before capacity degradation becomes noticeable. Duracell backs the CEF14 with a 5-year guarantee covering manufacturing defects, and the charger incorporates nine safety features including reverse polarity protection, overheat cut-off and short-circuit protection.

Can this charger charge AAA batteries as well as AA?

Yes. The CEF14 accepts both AA and AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries. The charging bays adjust to fit either size, and the charging circuit adapts to the cell capacity.

How long does a full charge take?

The charger delivers a full charge in approximately 4 hours from empty for standard-capacity NiMH cells. Higher-capacity cells may take slightly longer, and the LED indicator turns off when charging is complete.
