Description
The Daber is a round LED ceiling light with a built-in PIR motion sensor, switching between 12W and 20W output to draw up to 2560 lumens. Flush against the ceiling at 301mm across and just 60mm deep, it sits as a flush mount LED ceiling light in the American sense, the integrated panel doing away with any replaceable bulb. The colour temperature is selectable across 3000K, 3500K and 4000K, moving from a warmer domestic tone to a crisper neutral white, and the wide 105 degree beam spreads light evenly rather than pooling it in one spot. With its sensor watching for movement, the fitting brings itself up to full brightness on approach and steps back down once an area is left clear.
Because it is weatherproof to IP66, the Daber suits covered porches, side passages, garages, carports and utility rooms as readily as it does an indoor hallway or landing. At its 20W setting it covers around 8 to 9 m² at general lighting levels, enough for a small entrance, a porch or a modest store, and the PIR makes it a natural fit where hands are full or a switch is awkward to reach. Mounted on a wall it works as a doorway or stairwell light; on the ceiling it gives broad overhead cover. For most homes a single fitting handles an entry or path point, with more added along longer runs.
Built from polycarbonate with a black finish, the Daber carries an IK10 impact rating alongside its IP66 sealing, so it stands up to knocks and exposed conditions in equal measure. The integrated LED is rated for 50,000 hours and runs directly from a 220 to 240V AC supply, with no separate driver to position. This model is not dimmable, the output instead being set by the wattage and colour selection. The Daber range also includes versions without the motion sensor for areas where constant light is wanted.

Frequently Asked
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. The Daber is rated IP66, which means it is fully weatherproof and protected against powerful water jets, so it is suitable for exposed outdoor and wet locations. It works equally well on covered porches, in carports and in damp utility spaces.
How big an area does it light?
At its 20W setting the Daber produces up to 2560 lumens, which covers around 8 to 9 m² at general lighting levels. That makes it well suited to a small entrance, porch, landing or store. The 105 degree beam keeps the spread even across the space.
Does it have a replaceable bulb?
No. The Daber uses an integrated LED rated for 50,000 hours, so there is no bulb to change. When the LED eventually reaches the end of its life the whole fitting is replaced rather than a lamp.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the polycarbonate cover with a soft, damp cloth once the fitting is switched off and cool. Avoid abrasive pads or solvents, which can dull the surface, and dry it gently afterwards to keep the diffuser clear.
