Description
This COB LED strip puts out a continuous, dot-free line of light along a flexible 5 metre reel, drawing 8W per metre for 760 lumens per metre at a crisp 4000K cool white. Unlike older spaced-diode tape, the chip-on-board layout hides the individual LEDs behind a uniform glow, so there are no visible hotspots along the run. The strip is sold by the led strip lights category as a true led tape, and what US buyers tend to call light strip works the same way here: a low-profile line you fix where a bright, even wash is wanted.
Around the home it suits dry indoor settings such as under kitchen cabinets, along shelving, inside display cabinets and into cove or skirting recesses where you want light without seeing the source. At IP00 it is strictly a dry indoor fitting, so keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor location. The even output and Ra90 colour rendering make it a strong choice for task and accent runs where you want surfaces and finishes shown accurately, and the 5 metre reel can be trimmed back to fit shorter spans so it follows worktops, alcoves and recesses cleanly.
The strip cuts to length at the marked points every 2.5 cm, so it can be sized to a run without waste. It is a 12V DC strip, which means it is not a mains-direct product: it needs a matching 12V LED driver, supplied separately, sized to the total wattage of the length you install. Rated for around 30,000 hours of life and weighing just 62g for the full reel, the self-adhesive backing presses onto a clean, dry surface for a quick fix. This cool white version sits within a wider COB LED Strip range that includes other outputs and tones to match the run you need.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 12V DC, so it cannot connect straight to the mains and needs a matching 12V LED driver, which is sold separately. Size the driver to the total wattage of the length you fit, allowing 8W for every metre of strip in the run.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes. It can be trimmed every 2.5 cm at the marked cut points along the 5 metre reel. Only cut at those marks so the circuit stays intact, then the remaining length wires back to the driver as normal.
Can I use it outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00, which means dry indoor use only. Keep it out of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor location, where a coated IP65 strip would be needed instead.
How do I clean the strip?
Switch it off and let it cool, then wipe the surface gently with a dry or barely damp lint-free cloth. Avoid soaking it or using solvents, as this is an unsealed IP00 strip and water should be kept away from the diodes and connections.
