Description
The COB LED Strip gives a continuous, dot-free line of light across a flexible 5m reel, with the diodes packed so closely that no individual points show through the run. It draws 3W per metre and delivers 316 lumens per metre in a cool white 4000K tone, with a CRI of Ra 80 for clean, even colour. Often sold as LED tape, this is the same idea many US buyers know as light strip or tape light, just in a higher-density COB build that hides the usual spotting.
The strip suits under-cabinet runs, shelf and cove detailing, and outline lighting where you want a smooth band rather than a row of dots. Its cool white output reads bright and crisp, so it works well over worktops, in display cases and along stair edges or skirting where a continuous accent line lifts the space. Because it is IP20 rated, keep it to dry indoor positions only, away from bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor setting. The reel cuts to length at the marked points every 5cm, so you can size each section to the run it lights.
Built on a flexible PCB with free cable ends for wiring in, the strip runs on 24V DC and needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is sold separately, so it is not connected straight to the mains. State the driver rating to the loaded length so it is not undersized. Rated for around 30,000 hours, the reel measures 8mm wide and weighs only 52g, making it easy to route along tight edges. The wider range includes further strips and drivers to match the install.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver rather than a direct mains connection. The driver is sold separately, and you should size it to the total loaded length of strip.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes. It can be shortened at the marked cut points, which fall every 5cm along the reel. Always cut only on these marks so the circuit stays intact, and wire in from the free cable ends.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This is an IP20 strip, so it is for dry indoor use only. Keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor location.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Wipe the surface gently with a dry or barely damp cloth once the strip is switched off and cool. Avoid solvents and soaking, and take care around the cut ends and solder points so the connections stay sound.
