Description
The Clifton II is a 60cm round coffee table combining a dark travertine stone top with a charcoal black aluminium cone base. The travertine top shows the natural tonal variation and porous texture characteristic of the stone, with subtle banding and organic markings across the surface. The cone base provides a stable 60cm footprint while tapering to a narrower profile at the floor.
Designed for smaller living rooms, bedroom seating areas and compact flats where a full-size coffee table would dominate the space, the Clifton II sits at 37cm height, approximately 5-8cm lower than a standard dining chair seat. This lower profile works well in front of low sofas or paired with floor cushions and poufs. The 60cm diameter accommodates drinks, a small tray or a couple of books without crowding a 2-3m sofa arrangement.
The travertine top is cut from natural stone and shows variation in colour density, veining and surface pitting between individual tables. The aluminium base carries a matt powder-coated finish in charcoal black that resists fingerprints and minor scuffs better than gloss black. At 14.2kg the table has enough weight to stay stable on carpet or rugs without needing floor protection, though felt pads are recommended on timber or tile to prevent scratching.
The travertine surface is porous and will mark if liquids are left to sit. Coasters are recommended for hot drinks and glasses. Wipe spills immediately with a dry cloth. For routine cleaning use a barely-damp microfibre cloth with water only — do not use household sprays, acidic cleaners or abrasive pads as these will etch or dull the stone.

Frequently Asked
What size room does this suit?
The 60cm diameter works in living rooms from approximately 3m x 3m upwards, or in bedroom seating areas and compact flats where a larger coffee table would dominate. The lower 37cm height pairs well with low-profile sofas and floor seating.
Does the travertine vary between tables?
Yes. Travertine is a natural sedimentary stone with variation in colour density, banding, veining and surface pitting. Each table top is cut from a different section of stone, so no two tops are identical in pattern or tone.
How is the travertine top maintained?
Travertine is porous and will mark if liquids sit on the surface. Use coasters under drinks and wipe spills immediately with a dry cloth. For routine cleaning, use a barely-damp microfibre cloth with water only. Do not use household sprays, acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based), or abrasive pads.
Is the base heavy enough to stay stable on rugs?
At 14.2kg total weight the table is stable on short-pile rugs and carpets. On thick or shag rugs the cone base may benefit from a thin plywood disc underneath to distribute weight more evenly.
