Description
The Bord is a compact round ceiling light that takes a single GU10 PAR16 lamp up to 10W, running from a 220-240V AC mains supply. In US terms this is a flush mount LED ceiling light, sitting close to the ceiling rather than hanging below it. The fitting holds the lamp in a neat cylindrical body and directs the light downward, so the spread depends on the GU10 you fit. With a footprint of just Ø95mm and a 125mm projection, it keeps a low, tidy profile on the ceiling.
Because it uses a replaceable GU10 lamp rather than an integrated LED, the Bord suits hallways, landings, small bedrooms and utility spaces where a single focused point of light is wanted. It works well over a worktop or beside a doorway, and several units can be spaced along a run to build up even coverage across a larger room. The shallow 125mm drop makes it a sensible choice for lower ceilings where a deeper pendant would feel intrusive, and the GU10 format lets you tune brightness simply by choosing the lamp.
The body is made from aluminium alloy in a matte white finish that blends into most ceilings, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only. It mounts directly to the ceiling and weighs 482g, so it sits securely on a standard fixing. The lamp is not supplied, which lets you pick the wattage, beam and colour temperature to match the room. The wider Bord range offers further round fittings in the same finish for a consistent look across a property.

Frequently Asked
How many of these do I need for a room?
As each Bord takes a single GU10 lamp up to 10W, it gives a focused pool of light rather than broad ambient cover. For a small hallway or bedroom one or two units may be enough, while larger rooms usually want several spaced evenly across the ceiling. Choosing a wider-beam GU10 lamp helps spread the light further.
Is the Bord dimmable?
Dimming depends entirely on the GU10 lamp you fit, as the fitting itself simply holds the lamp. If you pair it with a dimmable GU10 LED and a compatible dimmer switch, it will dim. A non-dimmable lamp will not respond to a dimmer.
Does it use an integrated LED or a replaceable bulb?
It uses a replaceable GU10 PAR16 lamp, not an integrated LED, so the lamp is not built in. This lets you choose the wattage, beam angle and colour temperature, and swap the lamp later if it fails. The fitting takes lamps rated up to 10W.
How do I clean the fitting?
Switch off the supply and let any fitted lamp cool first. Wipe the matte white aluminium body with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, avoiding abrasive cleaners that could mark the finish. Make sure it is fully dry before switching back on.
