Description
The Ariadna is a 9 light semi-flush ceiling light built around a polished chrome circular frame supporting curved transparent crystal bars arranged in a radiating pattern. Each of the nine G9 lamp holders sits between pairs of crystal bars, which refract and multiply the light output while adding sculptural depth to the 53cm diameter fixture.
Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m where a flush or semi-flush fitting is needed instead of a suspended pendant, the Ariadna sits 26cm from ceiling to base, making it suitable for bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and dining areas in flats and houses with standard UK ceiling heights. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.
The polished chrome finish reflects ambient daylight and lamplight, amplifying brightness in the room even when the fitting is switched off. The crystal bars are precision-cut glass rather than acrylic, giving sharper refraction and a harder-wearing surface that resists yellowing over time. At 4.5kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixings — gravity toggles are supplied for plasterboard ceilings, and the instruction sheet includes guidance for solid ceiling installations.
The fixture takes nine G9 bulbs up to 10W each (sold separately). Most users pair this with LED G9 bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to balance light output with running cost. The combined 53cm diameter and radiating crystal pattern suit square and rectangular rooms of 12-18m² where central ceiling lighting is the primary light source.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Ariadna take?
The fitting takes nine G9 capsule bulbs up to 10W each. Bulbs are sold separately. LED G9 bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K are the most common pairing for residential use.
What ceiling height is needed?
The 26cm projection from ceiling to base suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In rooms with lower ceilings the fitting may feel visually heavy, though it will still function safely.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating restricts the Ariadna to dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, shower rooms, or any location where water contact or high humidity is present.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool completely. Wipe each crystal bar with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fittings and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners on the crystal or chrome.
