Description

The Adn is a 740mm semi-flush ceiling light built around 36 individual LED heads radiating from a central white canopy on branching metal arms. Each arm extends at a different angle and length, creating an asymmetric starburst pattern that fills ceiling space without the drop height of a pendant. The integrated 100W LED array outputs 5500 lumens at 3000K warm white across a 110° beam angle, providing ambient room lighting from a fitting that sits 350mm below the ceiling rose.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4-2.7m where a traditional pendant would hang too low, the Adn provides decorative impact at semi-flush height. The 740mm spread suits rooms of 15-25m² such as living rooms, open-plan kitchen-diners, and entrance halls. The branching structure distributes light across multiple angles rather than concentrating it downward, reducing harsh shadows and evening out illumination across horizontal surfaces. The white powder-coated finish reflects ambient daylight, helping the fitting blend into white or light-coloured ceilings during the day.

Each of the 36 LED heads sits inside a small conical diffuser that softens the point source and prevents glare when viewed from below. The arms are welded to the central hub in a fixed radial pattern, so the configuration cannot be adjusted after installation. The 2.73kg weight requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced mounting plate rather than plasterboard alone. The fitting is non-dimmable and runs on standard 220-240V mains with no external driver required.

The Adn extends 350mm below the ceiling rose, so it works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In a 2.4m room the lowest points of the fitting sit at approximately 2.05m, clearing typical head height with comfortable margin.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The semi-flush design sits much closer to the ceiling than a pendant, making it one of the better options for providing decorative lighting impact in rooms where ceiling height is limited. The 740mm diameter spread gives presence without requiring drop height.

Is the LED dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at fixed output and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The fitting provides 5500 lumens of warm white light at all times when switched on.

How is it installed?

The 2.73kg weight requires fixing to a ceiling joist or a reinforced mounting plate capable of supporting the load. The fitting cannot be safely installed into plasterboard or lath-and-plaster ceilings without structural support.
