Description
The XLED is an E14 candle LED bulb in the classic C35 flame shape, with a clear glass body that shows off its visible LED filaments for a vintage look. It fits the E14 Small Edison Screw (SES) cap, the small screw fitting US buyers will recognise as the candelabra base. Drawing just 3.4W, it puts out 470 lumens of 4000K cool white light across a wide 320 degree beam, so the glow spreads evenly around the bulb rather than projecting in one direction.
This bulb replaces a traditional 40W incandescent candle bulb while using a fraction of the power, making it a straightforward swap in chandeliers, wall brackets, candle-style pendants and bedside lamps. The 320 degree spread means it lights a room softly from a multi-arm fitting where several bulbs are on show, rather than throwing a tight pool downward. With a cool white 4000K tone it suits hallways, landings and living spaces where a crisper, brighter light is preferred over a warm yellow one. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only.
The filament construction sits inside transparent glass, giving the open-element appearance of an old-style bulb with the efficiency of LED at 138 lm/W. It measures just 35mm in diameter and 123mm long and weighs only 13g, so it sits neatly in compact candle fittings. Colour rendering is Ra 80 and the rated lifespan is 25,000 hours. This bulb is non-dimmable, so pair it with a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer circuit.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It uses an E14 Small Edison Screw (SES) cap, the small screw-in fitting common on candle bulbs, chandeliers and many bedside lamps. In the US this small screw size is known as the candelabra base. Check your fitting is E14 rather than the larger E27 before ordering.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
It replaces a 40W traditional incandescent candle bulb while drawing only 3.4W itself. The 470 lumen output gives a similar brightness to the old 40W lamp at a fraction of the running cost.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, this is a non-dimmable bulb. Use it on a standard on/off switch rather than a dimmer circuit, as fitting it to a dimmer can cause flicker or buzzing and may shorten its life.
What does the cool white 4000K colour look like?
4000K is a crisp, neutral cool white, brighter and cleaner than the warm yellow tone of an old bulb without being harshly blue. It suits hallways, landings and living spaces where a clearer light is wanted. The clear glass also shows the visible LED filaments for a vintage appearance.
