Description
The XLED candle bulb is a filament LED in the classic C35 flame shape, fitting an E14 Small Edison Screw cap, known in the US as a candelabra base. It draws just 4.5 W yet stands in for an old 40 W bulb, putting out 470 lumens at 4000K cool white with a clean, neutral tone. Visible LED filaments sit inside clear glass for a vintage look, and the 320 degree beam angle spreads light widely around the bulb rather than throwing it in one direction.
Cool white at this brightness suits chandeliers, wall brackets, pendant fittings and candelabra-style lamps where the bulb is on show, including hallways, dining areas and living spaces. The wide 320 degree spread gives an even glow across a small fitting or a multi-arm light, so several bulbs read consistently together. With an IP20 rating it is for dry indoor use only and should be kept clear of bathrooms, porches and any outdoor or damp location. A 4.5 W draw against a 40 W equivalent keeps running costs low across the fitting.
Built around C35 candle glass with the filament strands on display, the bulb measures 35 mm across and 97 mm long and weighs only 16 g, so it sits neatly in compact holders. It runs on 220 to 240 V mains through the E14 cap with no transformer needed, and rates Ra 80 for colour rendering with a 15,000 hour rated life. This XLED bulb is non-dimmable, so pair it with a standard on/off circuit. It is sold individually and other caps and shapes are available across the range.

Frequently Asked
Which fitting does this bulb need?
It has an E14 Small Edison Screw cap, often called SES in the UK. In the US this size is referred to as a candelabra base. It twists into any E14 holder, so check your fitting takes the smaller screw cap rather than the larger E27.
What old bulb wattage does it replace?
The LED draws only 4.5 W but produces 470 lumens, which is equivalent to a 40 W traditional bulb. You get a like-for-like brightness while using a fraction of the power, with a rated life of 15,000 hours.
Is it warm or cool light?
It is 4000K cool white, a clean neutral tone rather than the yellow of an old incandescent. It works well where you want crisp, clear light. Colour rendering is Ra 80, so colours look natural under it.
Is this bulb dimmable?
No, it is non-dimmable and should be used on a standard on/off circuit. Fitting it to a dimmer switch can cause flicker or buzzing and may shorten its life, so a plain switch is best.
