Description

This Knightsbridge replacement switch cover fits standard grid rocker switches and carries an engraved OVEN designation on an antique brass finish. The cover clips onto the existing rocker mechanism, replacing a blank or differently-marked cover without rewiring or removing the switch from the wall.

Designed for kitchen grid switch installations where multiple appliances are controlled from a single bank of rockers, the marked cover helps identify which switch operates the oven circuit, reducing the chance of accidentally turning off the wrong appliance mid-cook. The cover measures 33mm high by 16mm wide and projects 6.8mm from the rocker body once clipped in place.

The antique brass finish provides a warm, aged metallic tone with darker patina in the recessed engraving, giving contrast that makes the OVEN lettering readable from several metres away. The finish pairs with traditional and country-style kitchens and matches other antique brass grid components in the Knightsbridge range. The cover is constructed from ABS plastic with a steel clip mechanism and carries a 25-year warranty.

Will this fit my existing grid switch?

The cover is designed to fit standard Knightsbridge grid rocker switches. It clips onto the rocker mechanism, replacing the existing cover. If your grid switch uses a different brand or non-standard rocker format, compatibility cannot be guaranteed.

How is the cover removed and replaced?

The cover clips onto the rocker body and can be removed by gently prying it off from the sides with a small flathead screwdriver or similar tool. The replacement cover then clips into place without tools. No electrical work is required.

What other appliance markings are available?

Does the engraving wear off over time?

The OVEN designation is engraved into the surface and filled with darker patina, not printed or stuck on. Normal use and cleaning will not remove the marking, though repeated abrasive scrubbing could lighten the contrast over many years.
