Description
The STRETON is a 100W pole-mounted LED street light built for roads, car parks and amenity areas. It draws 220-240V AC and delivers 14000 lumens at a neutral 4000K white, with an efficiency of 140 lm/W. The asymmetric beam spreads light at 140° x 90°, throwing a wide, forward biased pool down the carriageway or across a parking bay rather than a tight circle. In the US this format is the familiar shoebox area light or parking lot light, sized here for commercial outdoor schemes.
The STRETON suits column-mounted runs along access roads, retail and workplace car parks, service yards and estate driveways. The wide 140° x 90° throw means fittings can be spaced out along a pole line while keeping coverage even between columns, with the forward bias directing output across the road surface or parking area rather than back over the verge. As a 100W unit pushing 14000 lumens it works as a main area luminaire for medium-traffic roads and car parks, and at 4000K it gives clear, neutral light that helps with number-plate and surface visibility after dark. Mount it on a street pole or column at the spigot height set out for the scheme to balance spread against glare.
The body is aluminium alloy in a grey finish, rated IP66 against dust and heavy rain so it copes with fully exposed outdoor and wet locations, with an IK08 impact rating for knock resistance. It is built to mount on a street pole or column and is not a dimmable fitting, running at full output across its rated 50,000 hour lifespan. The unit weighs 2.47 kg. The STRETON sits within our wider range of Streton street and car park luminaires, with other wattages available to suit different road and parking layouts.

Frequently Asked
How is the STRETON mounted?
It is designed to mount on a street pole or column via the spigot, as a pole-top or column-top area luminaire. It is not a wall fitting and should not be fixed to the side of a building. Match the mounting height to your scheme to balance light spread against glare.
Is it suitable for fully exposed outdoor and wet locations?
Yes. The STRETON is rated IP66, which means it is fully protected against dust and against heavy rain and water jets. That makes it suitable for open roads, car parks and other unsheltered outdoor sites, and the IK08 rating adds impact resistance.
How well does it cover a road or car park?
The 100W unit produces 14000 lumens with an asymmetric 140° x 90° beam, giving a wide, forward-biased spread along a carriageway or across parking bays. This lets fittings be spaced out along a pole line while keeping coverage even between columns. The neutral 4000K tone aids surface and number-plate visibility.
What does this LED street light replace?
At 14000 lumens and 140 lm/W efficiency, a single 100W STRETON stands in for older SON or metal-halide street and car-park heads of much higher draw. It also brings a rated 50,000 hour lifespan, cutting the relamping and energy cost of traditional discharge lighting.
