Description

The Slice is a single glass pendant light with a teardrop-shaped shade that fades from a mirrored gold at the top to a clear smoked tone at the open base. The shade measures 18cm wide and 30cm tall, suspended from a black ceiling cap on a 150cm fabric-covered cable. A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the shade and accepts any standard E27 bulb (sold separately).

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining tables and bedside positions, the Slice works as a decorative single fitting or in a cluster of two or three at staggered heights over a longer surface. The 150cm cable can be shortened on installation to set the pendant at the right drop above a worktop or table. The narrow 18cm diameter keeps the shade compact enough for tight runs and small rooms with low ceilings.

The mirrored gold finish on the upper half of the shade reflects the surrounding room and bounces warm tones across nearby surfaces when lit, while the clear lower section lets the bulb itself show through. Pairing the Slice with a vintage-style E27 candle filament bulb plays into this layered look, with the visible filament reading clearly through the open base. The black metal cap and matching cable keep the suspension hardware understated against the glass.

What bulb does it take?

The Slice takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. An E27 candle filament bulb suits the open-base design, as the filament reads clearly through the clear lower section of the shade.

Can the cable be shortened?

Yes. The 150cm fabric-covered cable can be shortened on installation to set the pendant at the right drop. Over a kitchen island this typically means 700-800mm above the worktop; over a dining table, 700-800mm above the surface.

Can it be hung as a cluster?

Yes. The compact 18cm diameter and 30cm height make the Slice well-suited to clustering in groups of two or three at staggered heights over an island, bar or longer dining table. Each pendant requires its own ceiling fixing point.

How is the gold finish cleaned?

The mirrored gold finish is applied to the inside of the glass and shows fingerprints and dust easily on the outer surface. Wipe gently with a dry, lint-free microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and ammonia-based glass sprays, which can damage the metallic coating.
