Description

The Knightsbridge TRK2MAW is a 2m single circuit track rated at 10A on 230V mains, supplied in a white powder-coated aluminium finish with both live and dead end caps included. The track provides a single continuous circuit along its 2000mm length, allowing compatible track spotlights to be positioned, removed and repositioned without rewiring.

Designed for retail, gallery, kitchen and residential accent lighting where adjustable directional light is needed, the track mounts to ceilings or soffits either surface-mounted or recessed. The 35mm width and 17mm projection keep the track visually recessed when fitted with spotlights. The 10A rating supports up to six typical LED track spots (assuming 1.5A draw each) or four higher-wattage halogen heads on a single run.

The aluminium body with internal copper conductors provides a rigid mounting surface that resists sagging across the 2m span when installed with proper fixing centres. The white finish integrates with white ceilings and remains neutral when used in spaces where the track itself should recede behind the spotlights. The track accepts standard Knightsbridge and universal single-circuit track adapters in both straight and rotating configurations.

How many spotlights can this track support?

The 10A rating allows up to 2,300W total load. Most LED track spots draw 6-15W each, so the track can support 10-20 LED heads depending on individual wattage. Halogen spots drawing 35-50W each would limit the track to 4-6 heads. Always check the combined wattage of all fittings before connecting.

What's included with the track?

The track is supplied with both a live end cap (for mains connection) and a dead end cap (to terminate the opposite end). Track spotlights and their adapters are sold separately.

Can the track be cut to a shorter length?

Yes. The aluminium track can be cut with a hacksaw to fit shorter runs. The internal copper conductors must be exposed cleanly at the cut end and the appropriate live or dead end cap fitted to maintain the IP20 rating.

Is it compatible with universal track systems?

The Knightsbridge single circuit track uses a standard three-wire configuration compatible with most universal single-circuit track adapters. Check adapter specifications before purchasing if mixing brands.
