Description

The Knightsbridge single circuit track is a 2m aluminium and copper rail finished in satin nickel, rated at 10A on 230V 50Hz mains. The track accepts Knightsbridge-compatible single circuit track heads and provides a single live conductor running the full 2000mm length, allowing multiple spotlights or pendant adaptors to be positioned and repositioned along the rail without rewiring.

Designed for ceiling or wall mounting in residential, retail and hospitality spaces, the track suits kitchens, open-plan living areas, shop displays, galleries and offices where adjustable accent or task lighting is needed. The 35mm width and 17mm projection from the mounting surface give the track a low-profile finish that works in rooms with lower ceilings or where a bulkier system would dominate the ceiling plane. The satin nickel finish provides a neutral metallic tone that pairs with both warm and cool interior palettes.

The track is supplied with live and dead end accessories, allowing it to be wired at one end and capped at the other, or joined to additional 2m sections to create longer runs. The aluminium extrusion houses a copper conductor rated at 10A continuous, which translates to a maximum 2,300W load across all track heads fitted to the single 2m rail. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments.

The track accepts Knightsbridge single circuit track heads and any third-party track heads designed for the same single circuit standard. Check the track head specification to confirm compatibility before purchasing.

What's the maximum load?

The 10A rating allows a maximum 2,300W total load across all track heads fitted to the 2m rail. If you fit five track heads, each should not exceed 460W on average, though individual heads can draw more provided the total stays under 10A.

Can multiple tracks be joined?

Yes. Additional 2m sections can be joined using straight connectors (sold separately) to create longer continuous runs. The total load across all joined sections must still respect the 10A circuit rating of the mains supply feeding the track.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher for zones near water sources.
