Description

The Ramses is a 36.5cm hourglass-profile pendant light in matt white with a polished brass collar at the waist and a warm gold reflective interior on the lower cone. The shade takes a single E14 golf bulb (sold separately) and hangs from a 150cm white cable, which can be shortened on installation to suit the ceiling height of the room.

The double-cone form throws light in two directions: an upward wash from the inverted top cone and a focused downward beam from the larger lower cone, sharpened by the gold inner lining. This makes the Ramses suited to kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining tables and stairwell drops where a narrow 16cm diameter is useful, and where both task light below and softer ambient bounce above are wanted.

The metal shade is finished in a low-sheen matt white that contrasts cleanly against the polished brass band, giving the pendant a mid-century silhouette without heavy ornament. At 16cm diameter the fitting is compact enough to be hung in groups of two or three over a longer island or dining table without crowding the space, and the slim profile keeps sightlines clear across an open-plan room.

What bulb does the Ramses take?

The pendant takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) golf-style bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the gold inner lining and produces a comfortable downward glow over a worktop or table.

Can the cable be shortened?

Yes. The 150cm white cable can be shortened on installation by your electrician to suit the ceiling height of the room. Pendants over a kitchen island typically sit 700-800mm above the worktop, and over a dining table around 800-900mm above the surface.

Can multiple Ramses pendants be hung together?

The 16cm diameter is narrow enough that two or three Ramses pendants can be hung in a row over a longer kitchen island or dining table. Allow approximately 60-80cm centre-to-centre spacing for a balanced grouping.

Is the brass collar real metal?

The collar at the waist of the shade and the inner lining of the lower cone are finished in a polished brass tone. See the Specification tab for the exact material; the shade itself is constructed from metal with a matt white outer finish.
