Description

The Ramses is a 36.5cm hourglass pendant light formed from two opposing matt black metal cones joined at the waist by a polished brass collar. A single E14 lamp holder sits inside the lower cone, projecting a focused downward beam onto the surface below while the upper cone conceals the cable entry and shapes the silhouette. The fitting drops on a 150cm black flex from a matching black ceiling rose.

The narrow 16cm diameter and tall diabolo profile suit installations where pendants need to hang in a row without crowding each other, such as above a kitchen island, breakfast bar or long dining table. Three or four Ramses pendants spaced 40-50cm apart create a defined band of task light without blocking sightlines across the worktop. As a single fitting it works over a small bistro table, a hallway console or a bedside in place of a wall light.

The matt black powder-coated finish on the metal cones contrasts cleanly against the polished brass mid-band, picking up the warm tones of brass kitchen handles, tap fittings or door furniture without competing with them. The 150cm cable length gives flexibility on installation: leave the flex full-length for ceiling heights up to 3m, or shorten on fitting for standard 2.4m ceilings where the pendant should sit roughly 75cm above the worktop.

What bulb does the Ramses take?

The pendant takes one E14 small Edison screw bulb (sold separately). An E14 golf-ball LED between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K gives a warm, focused beam well suited to the narrow lower cone.

Can multiple Ramses pendants be hung in a row?

Yes. The 16cm diameter and tall narrow profile work well in groups of three or four spaced 40-50cm apart over a kitchen island or long dining table. Each pendant requires its own ceiling outlet, or all flexes can be wired into a single multi-outlet ceiling plate.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 150cm cable can be shortened on installation to suit ceiling height. For a standard 2.4m kitchen ceiling, the pendant typically sits 70-80cm above the worktop. Higher ceilings of 2.7-3m can use the full cable length for greater drop.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No IP rating is specified, so the Ramses should be installed in dry interior locations only. Avoid bathrooms, en-suites, covered outdoor areas and other zones where moisture is present.
