Description

The PRO-S is a pole-mounted LED street light that fixes to a column or post top to light roads, car parks and amenity areas. It draws 70W and puts out 11420 lumens at an efficiency of 163 lm/W, with a neutral 4000K tone that holds colour well after dark. The wide asymmetric beam of 150° × 125° pushes light forward and along the carriageway rather than straight down, so it spreads across a lane or parking bay from a single column. In US terms this is an area or shoebox-style street light, the kind seen on parking lot poles.

This fitting suits through-roads, access roads, car parks, depots and yards where even coverage between columns matters more than a tight pool of light. Mounted on a pole or column spigot, the forward throw lets you space fittings along a route and keep the gaps lit, with the asymmetric optic carrying light down the road line. The 70W output makes it a sensible swap for older SON or metal-halide lanterns of higher draw, giving comparable brightness for far less energy. It is built for open, exposed sites rather than sheltered eaves.

The body is aluminium alloy in a grey finish, rated IP66 against driving rain and dust and IK08 for impact, so it stands up to fully exposed outdoor and wet locations. It mounts to a street pole and runs on 220-240V AC. This is a non-dimmable fitting rated for around 100,000 hours, measuring 605 × 265 × 108 mm and weighing 4.17 kg. Kanlux offers the PRO-S in further wattages across the range for matching a road or car park to its required light level.

Frequently Asked

How does this street light mount?

It is designed for pole, column or post-top mounting via a spigot, not for fixing to a wall or building. This lets you site it over a road or car park and space columns to give even coverage along the route. Confirm the spigot diameter against your column before ordering.

Is it suitable for fully exposed outdoor use?

Yes. It carries an IP66 rating, so it is sealed against dust and powerful water jets and copes with driving rain on open, unsheltered sites. The IK08 rating adds resistance to knocks and impact, which suits roadside and car park positions.

What does this 70W LED replace?

At 11420 lumens it stands in for older high-pressure sodium (SON) or metal-halide lanterns of noticeably higher wattage, while drawing far less power. The 163 lm/W efficiency and rated 100,000 hour lifespan also cut running and maintenance costs over time.

How do I space these along a road or car park?

The wide 150° × 125° asymmetric beam throws light forward and along the carriageway, so each column lights the road line as well as the area below. Spacing depends on column height and the lux level you need, so plan a layout that keeps the gaps between poles covered.
