Description

The PRO-S is a pole-mounted LED street light that pushes out 6200 lumens from a 40W draw, giving a high efficiency of 155 lm/W in a neutral 4000K tone. It is built for column and post-top mounting along roads, access lanes and parking areas, where it sits on top of a street pole rather than on any building. American buyers will recognise this format as a parking lot or area light, the kind of shoebox fitting used to wash open ground with even light. Its asymmetric 150 degree by 125 degree beam spreads the output forwards and along the carriageway instead of dropping it straight down, so the light reaches between poles.

Its job is open outdoor coverage, so think in terms of throw and spacing rather than a room area. On a typical column the wide forward beam lets you space fittings along a road or around a car park with overlapping pools of light, keeping gaps between poles lit for safe driving and walking. It suits residential streets, estate roads, depot yards, retail and commercial car parks, and amenity paths where a column or post is already in place. Match the pole spigot to the mount and set the column height to the run you are lighting, keeping the heads aligned so coverage stays even across the area.

The body is aluminium alloy in a grey finish, rated IP66 against driving rain and dust and IK08 for impact, which is what lets it stay out fully exposed all year. The integrated LED is rated for 100,000 hours and is not dimmable, running direct from 220 to 240V AC. It measures 535 by 210 by 108 mm and weighs 3.08 kg, mounting onto a street pole via the spigot. The PRO-S range covers several wattages, so a depot or car park can be lit on a consistent fitting across different pole heights.

Frequently Asked

How is this street light mounted?

It is a pole-mounted luminaire that fixes onto the spigot of a street column or post, sitting on top of the pole. It is not a wall fitting and should not be fixed to the side of a building. Match the spigot diameter to your column before installing.

Can it be used fully outdoors in wet weather?

Yes. It carries an IP66 rating, so it is sealed against dust and against powerful jets of water, making it suitable for fully exposed outdoor positions along roads and in car parks. The IK08 rating also gives it solid impact resistance.

How do I space these along a road or car park?

The asymmetric 150 by 125 degree beam throws light forwards and along the run rather than straight down, so output reaches between poles. Space the columns so the light pools overlap, and keep the heads aligned for even coverage across the area. Column height should suit the width of the road or car park.

What does this replace and is it dimmable?

At 6200 lumens from 40W it is a like-for-like LED upgrade for older SON or metal-halide street and car-park lanterns at a fraction of the running cost. It runs direct from 220 to 240V mains and is rated for 100,000 hours. This model is not dimmable.
