Description
The Orisa is a plug-in LED night light that pushes straight into a mains socket, with no wiring or separate fitting to install. It draws just 0.28W and gives a soft 5 lumen glow in warm white 3000K, enough to outline a doorway, skirting or the edge of a landing without the harshness of a switched-on ceiling light. In the US this style of socket-mounted unit is known as a plug-in night light, and the Orisa fills the same role: a gentle marker that stays on through the night so you can find your way after dark.
The warm, low-glare output suits a bedroom, nursery, landing or hallway, where a faint pool of light close to the socket helps with safe movement without waking anyone or disturbing sleep. Because the light is so low and deliberately soft, it is not a room light and will not brighten a space for tasks; it works as a guide light around the immediate area of the socket, marking the path between a bed and a door or lighting the top of a staircase. Position it near floor level on a landing or beside a bed for the most useful effect, and warm white was chosen because it carries little blue light, which suits the run-up to sleep.
The body is moulded in polycarbonate with a black finish, measuring 52 x 60 x 84 mm and weighing only 40 g, so it sits neatly against the wall once plugged in. It runs on 220-240V AC, is rated IP20 for dry indoor use, and the LED is integrated so there is no bulb to replace and nothing to dim. Keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor spot, since the IP20 rating covers indoor rooms only. The Orisa range includes further plug-in night lights if you want a matching set across several rooms.

Frequently Asked
How does a plug-in night light work?
The Orisa pushes directly into a standard mains socket, with no wiring or installation needed. Its integrated LED then gives a soft 5 lumen glow that marks doorways, stairs and the area near the socket. It is ready to use as soon as it is plugged in.
Is it safe to leave on all night?
Yes. The Orisa draws only 0.28W, so it uses very little power even when left on continuously through the night. The low output also means it stays cool and unobtrusive in a bedroom, nursery or landing.
What colour of light does it give and is it good for sleep?
It produces warm white light at 3000K, which carries little blue light and is the better choice for the hours around sleep. The 5 lumen output is deliberately soft and low-glare, so it guides movement without disturbing rest.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. The Orisa is rated IP20, which covers dry indoor use only, so it should be kept out of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor location. It is intended for bedrooms, nurseries, landings and hallways.
