Description

The Nur Blanco XL is a 1840mm spiral floor lamp built from a continuous polished chrome ribbon that curves upward from a circular base footprint of 450mm, with frosted polycarbonate panels set between the metal spirals. An integrated 20W LED runs the length of the structure, emitting 1800 lumens of 3000K warm white light through the frosted panels at a 120-degree beam angle.

Designed for living rooms, hallways and bedroom corners where ambient light is needed without ceiling fixtures, the Nur Blanco XL provides diffused wash lighting rather than directed task light. The inline floor dimmer on the power cable allows brightness adjustment from full output down to a low background glow, making the lamp useful both as primary evening lighting in a 3-4m lounge and as accent lighting in larger open-plan spaces. The 2.21kg weight and circular base give stability on bare floors, tiles and short-pile rugs.

The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and colour during the day, giving the spiral a mirrored presence that changes with viewing angle. When lit, the frosted polycarbonate diffuses the LED output evenly along the full height of the lamp, preventing visible hotspots or striping. The spiral geometry creates a vertical rhythm that works in both modern minimalist interiors and spaces with Art Deco or mid-century references. How is the Nur Blanco XL dimmed?

The lamp includes an inline dimmer switch on the power cable, positioned approximately 300mm from the plug. This allows brightness adjustment without requiring a wall-mounted dimmer or smart home integration. The dimmer works by rotating a dial to adjust output from full brightness down to a low glow.

What ceiling height is needed?

At 1840mm tall, the Nur Blanco XL suits rooms with standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In lower-ceiling spaces or where a shorter lamp is preferred, the smaller Nur Blanco (1190mm, SKU M5000) offers the same design at reduced scale.

Can the LED be replaced?

The LED is integrated into the lamp structure and is not user-replaceable. Mantra rates the LED with a 3-year warranty. The lamp is designed with the expectation that the LED will last the functional lifespan of the fitting.

Is the chrome finish prone to fingerprints?

Yes. Polished chrome shows fingerprints and smudges more readily than brushed or satin finishes. Wipe with a dry microfibre cloth to maintain the mirror finish. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid sprays or polishes that can leave residue.
