Description

The Knightsbridge M4G is a 4-gang modular faceplate built from powder-coated premium-grade steel, designed to house euro-module inserts for custom AV, data and electrical installations. The faceplate accepts four 25x50mm euro-modules or two 50x50mm euro-modules in any configuration, allowing installers to build bespoke wall plates combining HDMI, USB, TV/SAT, audio, data and power outlets in a single mounting point.

Intended for commercial, hospitality and residential installations where standard socket faceplates cannot accommodate the required mix of connections, the M4G fits standard UK back boxes and terminates to a dedicated earth terminal for Class I safety compliance. The metal construction provides physical protection for module terminations in high-traffic areas, workshops and outdoor-adjacent locations where plastic faceplates may crack or degrade. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations but not bathrooms or outdoor exposure.

The 142x82mm faceplate projects only 4mm from the wall once fitted, giving a low-profile finish that sits nearly flush with the mounting surface. The powder-coated steel surface resists minor impacts and cleaning chemicals better than painted or plated finishes. Knightsbridge backs the M4G with a 25-year warranty, reflecting the product's durability in permanent installations. The faceplate is supplied empty — euro-module inserts are sold separately and clip into the apertures once the plate is fixed to the back box.

Frequently Asked

What euro-modules does this faceplate accept?

The M4G accepts four 25x50mm euro-modules or two 50x50mm euro-modules in any combination. Common configurations include HDMI, USB, TV/SAT, RJ45 data, audio jacks and combination power outlets. Modules are sold separately and clip into the apertures once the faceplate is mounted.

What back box depth is required?

A standard 25mm UK back box is suitable for most euro-module configurations. Modules with deeper terminations (some HDMI and data modules) may need a 35mm or 47mm back box — check the specification of your chosen modules before installation.

Can this be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations only. For bathrooms or outdoor installations, use a product with an IP44 or higher rating.

How is the faceplate fixed to the wall?

The faceplate fixes directly to a standard UK back box using two screws (supplied). The euro-modules then clip into the apertures from the front. The earth terminal on the rear of the plate must be connected for Class I safety compliance.
