Description
This LED rope light is a round, flexible encased tube giving a continuous line of daylight illumination across a 5m run. It draws 10W in total and delivers around 600 lumens at a 6500K daylight colour temperature, producing a crisp white glow well suited to outlining and decorative detail rather than broad area lighting. In the US this format is often called a rope light or LED rope light, the linear cousin of the tape and strip lights used for cove and accent work. The diffused tube spreads light evenly along its length with no harsh dots.
Because the tube bends easily, the rope follows eaves, balustrades, steps, fascias, pergolas and garden borders, and it traces the outline of doorways, signage and decking edges. As a decorative accent it is best judged by the length of run it covers rather than a floor coverage figure, so plan it by the metres of edge or outline you want to pick out. The IP65 rating means it copes with exposed outdoor positions and wet weather, making it equally at home on a patio, around a porch or along an external wall.
The encased polycarbonate tube measures 13 mm in diameter and runs to a 5m length, weighing 794g. Built to an IP65 weatherproof standard with a rated life of 15,000 hours, it is fed through its dedicated controller and connection kit rather than being cut like a bare strip, so it installs as a finished unit. The colour rendering sits at Ra 80, giving honest tones outdoors. Other lengths and accessories sit within the same range for matching decorative schemes.

Frequently Asked
Can this rope light be used outdoors?
Yes. It carries an IP65 weatherproof rating, so it handles exposed outdoor positions and wet weather. That makes it suitable for patios, porches, garden borders and external walls all year round.
Can the rope light be cut to length?
Unlike a bare LED strip, this rope light is supplied as a complete 5m run and is fed through its own controller and connection kit. It is intended to be installed at its set length rather than trimmed at intervals, so plan your run to suit the 5m supplied.
What colour of light does it give?
It produces a daylight white tone at 6500K, which reads as a crisp, cool light. This suits decorative outlining, signage and feature edges where a clean white glow is wanted rather than a warmer ambience.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Wipe the tube along its length with a soft, damp cloth once disconnected from power, then allow it to dry fully before switching back on. Avoid harsh solvents, which can mark the polycarbonate. Periodic cleaning keeps the diffused light bright across the full 5m run.
