Description
This LED rope light is a round, flexible encased tube that runs as one continuous 50m line of cool white light. Across the full length it draws 100W and gives 6000 lumens, with each metre lit evenly so there are no dark gaps along the run. In the US this format is the familiar rope light, used where a slim, bendable outline is wanted rather than a flat tape. The tube measures just 13mm across, so it follows curves and edges closely and tucks into narrow channels. It is fed through its controller and connection kit rather than being cut at intervals like a bare strip, which keeps the sealed weatherproof body intact end to end.
The 50m length suits long decorative and outline jobs: eaves and rooflines, balcony and fence edges, pergola frames, stair and pathway borders, and seasonal displays. Because the cool white tone reads clean and bright, it works well for marking edges and shapes after dark rather than lighting a room, so think of it as a continuous bright outline rather than ambient cover. It throws light along its own line and a short way out from the tube, picking out the surface it is fixed to. Run it around a doorway, beneath a handrail or along a garden border to define the space, and use clips or a channel to hold the gentle curve you want.
The tube is encased in a sealed weatherproof body rated IP65, so it copes with exposed outdoor and wet locations, full rain included. It runs at 210V DC and is powered through its supplied controller and connection arrangement, not direct from a wall socket, so plan the feed point before fixing the run. Rated for 15,000 hours and weighing 7.50kg over the full 50m, it is built for permanent outdoor outline use. The colour rendering is Ra 80 and the cool white output stays consistent along the length.

Frequently Asked
Can this rope light be used outdoors?
Yes. It is rated IP65, which means it is weatherproof and suitable for exposed outdoor and wet locations, including direct rain. It is well suited to eaves, fences, balconies and garden borders that are open to the weather.
How is it powered and connected?
The rope light runs at 210V DC and is fed through its supplied controller and connection kit rather than plugged straight into a mains socket. Set up the feed point at one end before fixing the run, and follow the kit instructions for joining and sealing the connection.
Can the tube be cut to length?
Unlike a bare LED strip, this is a sealed round rope light that is fed and run as a single 50m length, so it is not designed to be cut freely along its body. If you need a shorter run, only cut at any marked point given with the product and re-seal the end as instructed to keep it weatherproof.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Wipe the tube with a soft, damp cloth to clear dust, leaf debris and grime, and let it dry before switching back on. Avoid harsh solvents that could mark the casing, and check the sealed ends and controller connection occasionally to keep the IP65 protection intact.
