Description
This LED Neon Flex is a solid, diffused flexible neon-effect profile that traces a clean, dot-free line of colour around any shape you set it to. Often searched as led neon flex or simply neon flex, it carries RGB output at 13.5W per metre with a luminous flux of 80 lumens per metre, giving an even glow rather than the spotted look of older rope runs. It runs from a 24V DC supply, so it is not mains-direct and needs a matching 24V driver to power it. The profile cuts to length every 5.6cm at the marked points, letting you size each run to the lettering or edge it follows.
Because the light reads as a continuous neon line, this profile suits signage, lettering, cove detailing and façade outlines where the shape of the light matters more than flooding a room. It works well picking out the edge of a building, a bar front, a step nose or a pergola, and the RGB control means a single run can shift colour to suit the setting. It is decorative and directional rather than ambient room lighting, so think of it in terms of the outline it draws and the throw of its glow rather than a coverage area. The 6mm bend tolerance lets it follow curves and corners cleanly.
Rated IP65, the flex is weatherproof and suitable for exposed outdoor and wet locations as well as sheltered indoor use. The diffused jacket spreads the RGB diodes into a soft band with no visible hotspots, and the run measures 5000 × 6 × 12mm at 448g. Rated for 30,000 hours, it draws 13.5W per metre on a 24V DC feed and needs that matching driver specified separately. We also stock the wider LED Neon Flex range in other outputs and colours to suit different layouts.

Frequently Asked
Does this neon flex need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it is not wired straight to the mains. You will need a matching 24V LED driver sized to the total wattage of your run, which at 13.5W per metre means roughly the metre length multiplied by 13.5W.
Can it be cut to length?
Yes. The profile is cuttable every 5.6cm at the marked points, so you can trim each run to fit the lettering or edge it follows. Cut only on the marks to keep the circuit and the seal intact.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. It is rated IP65, which makes it weatherproof and suitable for exposed outdoor and wet locations such as signage, façades and patio outlines. It is equally at home indoors for cove and feature runs.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the diffused surface with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent, then dry it off. Avoid solvents or abrasive pads, which can dull the diffuser, and switch off the supply before cleaning.
