Description
This LED neon flex gives a continuous, solid line of diffused light along a flexible profile, the look most people picture as neon without the fragile glass. It runs at 12 W per metre and puts out around 220 lumens per metre in a warm 2700K tone, with a smooth glow that hides the individual diodes behind a frosted face. The strip comes on a 5 metre reel and can be shortened at the marked points every 5 cm to suit the run. As an LED tape light or flexible neon rope, it bends around corners and curves to trace a shape rather than light a whole area.
Its even, low-glare line suits signage, lettering, cove and ceiling channels, and the outlining of façades, steps, bar fronts and display features. Because the light grazes along a surface rather than flooding a room, think of coverage as the length you want to mark out rather than a floor area, so measure the run and join reels to reach it. The IP65 rating means it copes with exposed outdoor and wet locations, making it a fit for sheltered eaves, garden structures and patio edges as well as indoor décor.
The profile is rated IP65 for weatherproof use and carries a CRI of Ra 80 for honest colour on nearby surfaces, with a rated life of 30,000 hours. It runs on a 24V DC supply, so it is not a mains-direct product and needs a matching 24V LED driver sized to the total load, supplied separately unless bought as a kit. Cut only at the printed marks to keep each section working. We also stock COB and SMD strip in this range for projects that need a slimmer or brighter line.

Frequently Asked
Does this neon flex need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, not mains voltage, so it must be powered through a matching 24V LED driver. Size the driver to the total wattage of your run, allowing 12 W for every metre fitted.
Can it be cut to length?
Yes. The profile can be shortened at the marked cut points every 5 cm. Always cut on a marked line so the section you keep stays powered correctly, and seal any open end if it sits outdoors.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. With an IP65 rating it is weatherproof and copes with exposed outdoor and wet locations such as eaves, façades and patio edges. Keep the driver and connections in a protected enclosure.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the diffused face with a soft, slightly damp cloth once the power is off and the profile is cool. Avoid solvents and abrasive pads, which can dull or scratch the frosted surface over time.
