The Impossible 65cm Flared Pendant Light is a single, continuous woven shade made from painted metal mesh. The shape narrows to a waisted crown at the top before flaring outward into a wide skirt, with the hem turned up at the rim, so it reads as a flared hat rather than a shallow lens. It measures 65cm in diameter, the plan dimension across its widest point, and 35cm in height, with a fixed drop of 220cm set at manufacture. Designed by Massimo Mussapi, this pendant light is offered with either an integrated LED module rated at 14W, 2700K and 1400 lm, dimmable, or a version taking an E27 lamp rated up to 100W, with lamps not included.

This is an indoor fitting suited to dining tables, kitchen islands, hallways and living spaces where a wide, open shade can hang clear overhead. The 220cm drop is fixed and cannot be shortened on site, so it works best over rooms with generous ceiling height or double-height voids. On the integrated LED versions there is no lamp to buy, while the E27 versions let you choose your own lamp to set the colour temperature, output and dimming behaviour to your preference.

The shade is one piece of woven painted metal mesh, so the frame itself is the diffuser. Four finishes are available: Black, Burnished, Gold and White, across eight variants on this listing. Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners that could mark the paint. We cannot confirm the net weight, so please ask us if you need it.
