Description
The HDview IP 8MP 4-channel PoE NVR is a network video recorder designed for IP camera systems, recording up to 8MP resolution across four simultaneous camera feeds. Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) supplies both power and data to connected cameras over a single Cat5e/Cat6 cable per channel, eliminating the need for separate power supplies at each camera location.
Built for residential and small commercial CCTV installations, the NVR supports continuous recording, scheduled recording, motion-triggered recording, and intelligent detection modes including line cross and perimeter intrusion alerts. The unit outputs to a monitor or TV via HDMI at up to 4K resolution, allowing live view and playback on a larger screen. Remote monitoring is available through a dedicated mobile app, giving access to live feeds and recorded footage from off-site.
H.265 video compression reduces file sizes compared to older H.264 codec while maintaining image quality, extending the storage capacity of the pre-installed 1TB surveillance-grade hard drive. Each PoE channel supports cable runs up to 250m between the NVR and camera. The front panel provides status indicators for power, network connection and hard drive activity, with a USB port on the rear for backing up recorded footage to an external drive.
The metal chassis measures 436mm wide, 291mm deep and 81mm high, designed for 19-inch rack mounting or standalone shelf placement in a control room, utility cupboard or small server cabinet. The unit operates on 12V DC input and ships with the 1TB hard drive already installed and formatted.

Frequently Asked
What cameras does this NVR work with?
The HDview NVR is compatible with IP cameras supporting H.265 or H.264 compression at resolutions up to 8MP. The four PoE ports supply power and data to PoE-compliant cameras. Check the camera specification to confirm it supports PoE and one of the compatible codecs.
How much footage can the 1TB drive hold?
Storage duration depends on the number of active cameras, resolution, frame rate and compression codec. Four cameras recording at 8MP in H.265 with motion detection typically store 7-14 days of footage on 1TB. Continuous recording at full resolution reduces this to 3-7 days.
Can I access the recordings remotely?
Yes. The NVR connects to your network router and supports remote access via the HDview mobile app for iOS and Android. You can view live feeds and play back recorded footage from anywhere with internet access once the app is configured.
What cable do I need between the NVR and cameras?
Use Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable rated for outdoor use if running between buildings or in exposed locations. Each PoE channel supports cable runs up to 250m. The cameras connect directly to the PoE ports on the rear of the NVR.
