Description

The Gulf is a 30cm-diameter pendant light with a droplet-shaped glass shade in a mirrored copper finish, hung from a 150cm black cable on a matching copper canopy. A single G9 lamp socket sits inside the shade, with the lamp itself visible through the open underside of the dome. The mirrored interior of the shade reflects the bulb back on itself, multiplying the light source and casting a warm-toned glow downwards.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, breakfast bars and entrance halls, the Gulf works well as a single fitting over a worktop or grouped in twos and threes along a longer surface. The 14cm shade height and 150cm adjustable cable suit ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards, with the pendant typically set 700-800mm above an island or table during installation. The G9 socket accepts a single capsule lamp up to the rated wattage (sold separately).

The shade is made from glass with a copper-mirrored coating on both inner and outer surfaces, giving it the weight and reflective depth of solid metal while remaining lighter to hang. The droplet silhouette swells gently from the canopy before tapering to a wider lower edge, and the polished copper picks up surrounding tones, shifting from warm pink under daylight to deep amber under switched-on warm-white bulbs. A 2-year warranty is included.

What bulb does the Gulf take?

The Gulf takes a single G9 capsule lamp, sold separately. A warm-white G9 LED between 2700K and 3000K pairs well with the copper finish and accentuates the amber tones of the shade.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 150cm cable is adjustable on installation. Above a kitchen island or dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm from the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or more. The cable can be shortened during fitting for lower ceilings.

Can the Gulf be grouped together?

Yes. The 30cm diameter and droplet shape suit being grouped in twos or threes along a longer kitchen island or dining table. Each pendant requires its own ceiling fixing point and cable drop.

How is the copper shade cleaned?

Wipe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. For marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid abrasive sponges, household sprays and metal polishes, which can damage the mirrored coating on the glass.
