The Funk is a tall conical pendant light with a matt black metal outer shade and a beaten gold inner reflector. The shade measures 40cm in height and 19cm in diameter, narrowing into a slim hourglass neck before meeting a black ceiling cable. A single E27 lamp sits inside the cone, with the textured gold lining catching and warming the light as it casts downward.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, breakfast bars and stairwells, the Funk works as directional task light over a defined surface rather than as broad ambient lighting. The narrow shade aperture concentrates the beam, making it well suited to hanging in pairs or threes over a worktop or in a single drop above a side table. The 150cm cable is adjustable on installation to suit ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards.

The matt black exterior keeps reflections low and pairs cleanly with industrial, mid-century and contemporary interiors, while the hammered gold interior adds a warmer accent that becomes more visible once the lamp is lit. What bulb does the Funk pendant take?

The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. The tags suggest pairing with an E27 GLS filament bulb, which works well visually because the glow catches the beaten gold inner shade. A warm-white LED between 2700K and 3000K is the most common choice.

Can I hang several together over a kitchen island?

Yes. With a 19cm shade diameter, the Funk hangs comfortably in pairs or threes over a typical 1.8-3m kitchen island. Allow around 30-40cm between each pendant centre for a balanced spacing, and drop the shades roughly 70-80cm above the worktop.

Is the cable length adjustable?

The supplied cable is 150cm and is shortened on installation to suit the ceiling height and desired drop. It cannot be extended beyond 150cm without an aftermarket extension kit.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 40cm shade plus cable means the Funk is best suited to ceilings of 2.4m or above. In rooms with lower ceilings it can still work over a kitchen island or dining table where the drop sits above head height at the seated position.
