Description

The Funk is a 154cm floor lamp built around a conical brass shade mounted on an adjustable arm, set on a weighted matt black circular base. The shade tilts and pivots at the joint where the arm meets the central column, letting the cone be aimed downward for direct task light or angled across a sofa for reading. A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the cone, and the interior of the shade is finished in the same warm brass tone to soften the light it throws.

The lamp suits reading corners next to an armchair, side-of-sofa positions in a living room, and bedroom corners where a directional light source is wanted without a fitted ceiling pendant. The 60cm diameter base gives a stable footprint on bare floors, rugs and carpet, and the slim central column keeps the lamp from feeling visually heavy in smaller rooms. The arm pivot allows the light to be redirected through the day without moving the lamp itself.

Can the shade be adjusted for reading?

Yes. The conical shade tilts and pivots at the joint where the arm meets the column, which lets you angle the light down onto a book, across a sofa, or up onto the wall as a softer wash.

Is it suitable for use next to a sofa or armchair?
