The Franklin is a 300mm diner-style pendant light with a spun metal dome shade finished in gloss red, suspended on black flex from a matching red ceiling canopy. The shade houses a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately) and directs light downward for task and ambient use.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining tables and cafe interiors, the Franklin provides focused downward light at worktop or table height. The 2150mm black flex is adjustable on installation, allowing the pendant to hang anywhere from 299mm to 2349mm from the ceiling depending on the drop needed. The gloss red finish on the spun metal shade gives strong colour saturation under daylight and artificial light, making the pendant a visual anchor in neutral or monochrome interiors.

The dome shade measures 300mm diameter by 162mm height, creating a mid-sized pendant that works as a single piece over a small dining table or in multiples spaced 600-900mm apart along a kitchen island. The red ceiling canopy and black flex provide a defined colour contrast that references American diner aesthetics from the 1950s-60s. The spun metal construction gives the shade a smooth, continuous surface with no visible seams or joins.

What bulb does the Franklin take?

The Franklin takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 6-10W and 2700K for a diner-style aesthetic, or a standard LED bulb for brighter task light.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The 2150mm black flex can be shortened during installation to set the pendant at the required height above a worktop or table. Once installed, the drop is fixed unless the flex is re-trimmed.

Is the red finish durable?

The gloss red finish is applied to spun metal and is resistant to fading under normal indoor use. Wipe clean with a dry or barely-damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that may scratch the gloss surface.

Can multiple Franklin pendants be installed in a row?

Yes. The Franklin works well in multiples spaced 600-900mm apart along a kitchen island or breakfast bar. Each pendant requires its own ceiling rose and wiring point.
