Description

The Core Pendant is a 35cm split-dome light in spun aluminium, finished in matt black on the outside with a polished copper interior. The shade splits into two hemispheres separated by a narrow gap, with a copper funnel meeting the upper dome at the centre to direct light downwards through the lower bowl. An E27 bulb fitting sits at the top, suspended on a black fabric cable with a 3m total drop. This is an ex-display piece, sold as seen.

The pendant suits dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls where a single sculptural fixture is wanted at eye level. The split-dome construction creates two distinct light effects: a warm downward pool through the lower bowl and a softer copper-tinted glow escaping through the central gap. With a 3m cable drop and IP20 rating, the fitting is designed for indoor residential ceilings and can be shortened on installation to suit lower or higher ceiling heights.

The body is constructed from spun aluminium, keeping the 35cm shade light enough for standard ceiling roses without specialist bracing. The matt black exterior is low-sheen and absorbs reflections, while the copper interior catches and warms whatever light source is fitted, giving filament and amber-tinted LED bulbs particular character. As an ex-display item, the pendant may show minor handling marks consistent with showroom use.

What bulb does it take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W on 230V mains. Bulbs are sold separately. An E27 GLS filament or amber-tinted LED works particularly well, as the copper interior catches and warms the light from these sources.

Can the cable be shortened?

Yes. The pendant is supplied with a 3m total drop on a black fabric cable, which can be shortened during installation to suit the ceiling height. We recommend a qualified electrician carries out the wiring.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is designed for indoor use in dry locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones or external installation.
