Coniston 6 Light Crystal Bathroom Wall Light - Polished Chrome

The Coniston is a 310mm-wide crystal wall light with six G9 bulb fittings arranged across cascading tiers of faceted clear crystal droplets, mounted on a polished chrome frame. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, where moisture and steam are present but direct water jets are not encountered.

Designed for large bathroom feature walls, vanity areas with 1500mm+ mirror widths, and dressing rooms where both task and decorative lighting are needed, the Coniston projects 180mm from the wall and stands 390mm tall. The six G9 fittings provide enough output for general bathroom lighting when fitted with 6-10W LED capsules (sold separately), with the crystal tiers diffusing and multiplying the light through refraction. The polished chrome backplate and frame sit flush against the wall and conceal the cable entry point behind the mounting plate.

Each tier of crystal is built from individually-hung faceted droplets that catch and scatter light at different angles depending on viewing position and bulb placement. The polished chrome finish on the metal components reflects the crystal brilliance and creates a cooler, more contemporary look than brass or bronze alternatives. At 4.6kg, the fitting requires secure wall fixings into masonry or studwork — the weight distribution across the backplate and tiered structure keeps the fitting stable once mounted. The light is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 LED capsules and a compatible dimmer switch.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3 (areas more than 600mm from the bath or shower enclosure). It cannot be installed in zones 0 or 1 where direct water jets are present.

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes six G9 capsule bulbs up to 10W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit 6-8W LED G9 capsules in warm white (2700K-3000K) for bathroom use, giving a combined output of 36-48W equivalent.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable G9 LED capsules and pair the circuit with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Not all G9 LEDs are dimmable — check the bulb packaging before purchasing.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow to cool. Wipe each crystal droplet with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust and water spots. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the crystal or allowing water into the lamp sockets. Do not use chemical sprays or abrasive cleaners.
