Description
This COB LED strip light gives a continuous, dot-free line of diodes across a flexible 5m reel, drawing 8W per metre for around 710 lumens per metre of cool white 4000K light. Unlike spaced SMD led tape, the COB format hides the individual diodes behind an even phosphor line, so the strip reads as one smooth band of light with no visible spotting. It cuts to length at the marked interval every 2 centimetres, letting the run be sized exactly to a shelf, cove or channel. The strip runs on 24V DC and needs a matching LED driver, supplied separately.
Cool white output suits worktops, under-cabinet runs, display niches and cove detailing where a crisp, neutral tone is wanted rather than a warm glow. Because the IP65 rating coats the strip against moisture, it also works in sheltered outdoor and damp settings such as eaves, soffits, pergolas and bathroom recesses. Coverage is best judged by length rather than floor area: each metre delivers 710 lumens as a linear wash, so plan the run to the edge or surface you want grazed and add length for brighter or longer spans. The 2cm cut interval keeps short accent sections viable too.
Built on a flexible reel with an IP65 weatherproof coating, the strip stands up to splashes, washdown and exposed positions. It is a 24V DC fitting, so a correctly rated 24V driver must be specified; do not connect it directly to the mains. The high CRI Ra90 keeps colours true under cool white light, useful for kitchens and display work. Rated lifespan is 30,000 hours. Cut only at the marked points and seal any open end used outdoors.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It is a 24V DC strip, so it must run from a 24V LED driver, which is supplied separately. Do not connect it straight to a mains socket, and size the driver to the total wattage of the length you install at 8W per metre.
Where can it be cut?
The strip cuts to length at the marked points every 2 centimetres along the reel. Cut only at these intervals so the circuit stays intact, and keep any exposed end sealed if it is used in a damp or outdoor position.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. The IP65 rating means it is coated against moisture and suited to damp and sheltered outdoor runs such as eaves, soffits and pergolas. It handles splashes and washdown but is not intended for full submersion.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the coated surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it off, with the driver switched off first. Avoid solvents or abrasive cleaners that could mark the IP65 coating, and check any sealed end caps stay intact in outdoor positions.
