Description
This COB LED strip puts out a continuous, dot-free line of light along a flexible reel, so the run reads as one even band rather than a row of separate points. It draws up to 21W per metre and combines full RGB colour with tuneable white, letting the white shift across roughly 3000K to 6100K from warm through to cool. In the US market this same format is usually sold as COB LED tape or light strip, and it works the same way here. The diodes carry a CRI of Ra90, so colours and surfaces stay true under the white channels, and the strip cuts to length at marked points every 3.6 cm.
Because the strip is IP65 rated, it suits damp and sheltered outdoor settings as well as dry indoor ones, which makes it a flexible choice for cove and ceiling perimeters, under-cabinet runs, stair undersides, shelving and outline lighting around patios or pergolas. The RGBCCT mix means the same length can sit as steady warm white for everyday use, switch to cool white for task areas, or run colour for accent and party settings. Coverage is decorative and directional rather than full room lighting, so think of it as a continuous accent line or wash along an edge rather than a fitting that lights a whole space on its own.
The strip comes on a 5m reel and runs from a 24V DC LED driver, which is sold separately and must be matched to the strip and the total length being used. It is not a mains-direct fitting, so it should never be wired straight into a wall socket. The coated IP65 surface wipes clean with a soft damp cloth, and the diodes are rated for around 30,000 hours. The reel weighs 138g. Matching drivers, controllers and joining accessories are available within our wider strip range to complete an install.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a separate driver?
Yes. It is a 24V DC strip, so it cannot be wired directly to the mains and needs a 24V LED driver to run it. The driver is sold separately and should be sized to cover the total wattage of the length you install, allowing for the 21W per metre draw.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes. It is supplied on a 5m reel and can be shortened at the marked cut points, which fall every 3.6 cm along the run. Only cut at those marked points so the circuit stays intact, and any unused section can be kept for another run.
Is it suitable for outdoor or damp areas?
Yes. The strip is IP65 rated and coated, so it copes with damp and sheltered outdoor positions such as patios, eaves and covered pergolas, as well as kitchens and bathrooms indoors. It handles splashing and weather exposure, though connections and the driver should be kept protected.
How do I clean the strip?
Wipe the coated surface with a soft cloth, lightly dampened if needed, and avoid harsh solvents that could mark the IP65 coating. Switch the supply off first and let the strip cool. Keeping the surface free of dust helps the light stay bright and even along the run.
