Description
The COB LED Strip is a continuous, dot-free line of diodes set on a flexible 5m reel, giving a smooth band of light with none of the spotting you get from spaced diodes. It runs at 21W per metre and combines full RGB colour with tuneable white, so you can shift the white output from warm 3000K through to cool 6100K or pick any colour across the RGB range. In US terms this is the kind of led tape light used for under-cabinet, cove and accent runs, here built to an RGBCCT specification with a high Ra 90 colour rendering for true, accurate tones.
Because the light comes from a near-solid line rather than dots, it suits any application where the strip itself is partly visible, such as under-cabinet lighting, shelf edges, stair undersides, alcoves, coving and display niches. The output is for accent and task highlighting rather than lighting a whole room, so think of it as a continuous glow tracing a line or washing a nearby surface rather than as ambient ceiling light. The reel can be shaped around corners and along uneven runs, and the tuneable white lets a kitchen or living space move from a warm relaxing tone in the evening to a brighter cool white for closer work.
The strip cuts to length only at the marked points, which fall every 3.6 cm, so you can trim a run to fit a cabinet or shelf exactly. It runs on 24V DC and therefore needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is supplied separately and must be sized to the total wattage of the run. At IP00 this is a dry indoor product, so keep it clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor location. Rated for 30,000 hours, it pairs with a suitable RGBCCT controller to manage colour and white tuning across the reel.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a separate driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it cannot connect straight to the mains and needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is supplied separately. Size the driver to the total wattage of your run, allowing for 21W per metre across the length you install.
Where can I cut it and how is it joined?
The strip cuts to length only at the marked cut points, which fall every 3.6 cm along the reel. Cutting anywhere else will break the section, so always trim on a mark. Offcuts can be rejoined with a compatible RGBCCT connector or by soldering to the marked pads.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00, which means it is for dry indoor use only. Keep it out of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor or sheltered-outdoor location, as it has no moisture protection.
How do I change the colour and white tone?
Paired with a suitable RGBCCT controller, it gives full RGB colour plus tuneable white that adjusts from warm 3000K to cool 6100K. The high Ra 90 colour rendering keeps colours and white tones looking accurate, so it works for both accent colour effects and everyday task light.
