Description
This COB LED strip lays down a continuous, dot-free line of light along a flexible reel, so there are no visible diodes or spotting across the run. It draws 19W per metre and gives 420 lumens per metre, combining RGB colour with a 4000K white channel for both coloured effects and a clean neutral white. The reel measures 5m and runs on a 24V DC supply rather than direct mains. In the US this style of fitting is known as COB led tape light, valued for the same smooth, even line that ordinary spaced SMD reels cannot quite match.
Because the light comes as a low, linear band rather than a broad ceiling spread, it suits cove and ceiling-recess detailing, under-cabinet runs in a kitchen, shelving, display niches and around mirrors or media units. The RGBW mix lets you set warm scene colours or switch to the 4000K white channel for practical task light beneath a cupboard. Coverage is best judged by length of run rather than floor area: each metre adds the same even output, so plan the strip to follow the edge or surface you want to graze with light. The IP00 rating means it is for dry indoor positions only, kept clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor location.
The strip cuts to length only at the marked points, which fall every 7.1cm, so it can be trimmed to fit a precise span. It carries a CRI of Ra90 for accurate colour and tone, and is rated for around 30,000 hours of life. As a 24V DC strip it is not mains-direct and needs a matching 24V LED driver, sold separately, sized to the total wattage of the length you install. The reel weighs 96g. Our COB strip range also includes single-colour and tunable white options on the same 24V platform if RGBW is more than a project needs.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a separate driver?
Yes. It is a 24V DC strip, not a mains-direct fitting, so it needs a 24V LED driver to run safely. The driver is sold separately and should be rated to cover the total wattage of the length you install, at 19W per metre.
Where can the strip be cut?
It cuts to length only at the marked cut points, which occur every 7.1cm along the reel. Trim at one of these marks so the circuit stays complete, then connect the cut end back to the driver.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00, which is for dry indoor use only. Keep it out of bathrooms, kitchens splash zones, damp areas and any outdoor location, and choose an IP65 coated strip for those settings instead.
How do I keep the strip clean?
Wipe the surface gently with a dry or barely damp soft cloth while the strip is switched off and cool. Avoid solvents and soaking, as the strip is uncoated, and make sure it is fully dry before powering it back on.
