Description
This COB LED strip lights run as a continuous, dot-free line of diodes on a flexible reel, giving an even line of light with no visible dots along its length. Known in the US market as COB led tape, it draws up to 14W per metre at 12V DC and is tuneable white across 2700K to 6500K, so the same reel shifts from a warm to a cool tone. With a CRI of Ra 90 it keeps colours looking true, and the reel cuts to length at the marked points every 2.6 cm for a clean fit to any run.
Being IP65 rated and weatherproof, this strip suits both dry indoor runs and damp or sheltered outdoor settings such as under-cabinet lines, cove and shelf detailing, garden eaves and porch soffits. The dot-free COB face throws a smooth wash rather than a beam, so it is well placed for outlining, grazing and accent work where a continuous line of light reads better than spaced points. Its 5m reel covers a typical kitchen run or a feature edge, and it joins to extend a longer line where the layout calls for it.
Supplied on a flexible 5m reel weighing 114g, the strip runs from a 12V DC LED driver, which is sold separately and must be matched to the strip's voltage and total load. It is not a mains-direct fitting and should not be plugged straight into a wall socket. The free cable ends connect to the driver feed, and the IP65 coating seals the diodes against moisture and dust. Rated for around 30,000 hours, it cuts only at the marked 2.6 cm intervals.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a separate driver?
Yes. It runs from a 12V DC LED driver, which is sold separately and must be matched to the strip's voltage and total wattage. It is not a mains-direct strip, so do not connect it straight to a wall socket.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes. It cuts to length only at the marked points, which fall every 2.6 cm along the reel. Cutting at those intervals keeps each section working correctly.
Is it suitable for outdoor or damp locations?
Yes. The IP65 coating makes it weatherproof, so it copes with exposed outdoor and wet settings as well as dry indoor runs. It works well under eaves, on porch soffits and around damp utility areas.
How do I change the colour temperature?
The strip is tuneable white from 2700K to 6500K, controlled through a compatible tuneable-white driver or controller. This lets you move the same run from a warm 2700K through to a cool 6500K as needed.
