Description
This COB LED strip puts out a continuous, dot-free line of light across a flexible 5m reel, drawing 14W per metre and delivering 1540 lumens per metre in a crisp 6500K daylight tone. Unlike spaced SMD led tape, the densely packed diodes of a COB strip give an even, uninterrupted glow with no visible hotspots, which is what makes this style of led strip light popular for cove runs and edge detailing. It runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver (sold separately) rather than connecting straight to the mains. The strip cuts to length at the marked interval every 4.55 cm, letting you size each run to the space.
Because it carries an IP65 rating, this strip suits damp and sheltered outdoor settings as well as dry interiors, making it a flexible choice for kitchen plinths, under-cabinet lines, bathroom coving, garden room eaves and covered patio edges. The bright daylight output and high Ra 90 colour rendering give accurate, true-to-life colour, which is useful over worktops and in display niches where shade matters. Coverage depends on how the run is positioned: as a continuous outline or grazing line rather than ambient room light, so think in terms of run length and where the light is concentrated. Drive enough metres for the line you want to fill and pair it with a driver rated for the total load.
The diodes sit on a flexible reel coated for IP65 protection, allowing damp and sheltered exterior use, while the cut points let you trim only at the marked 4.55 cm intervals. Power comes from an external 24V DC LED driver, which must be specified separately and sized to the wattage of the run you install. Rated at 50,000 hours, the strip is built for long unattended service. Our wider range includes the drivers and connectors needed to complete a strip installation.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver rather than connecting directly to a mains socket. The driver is supplied separately and should be rated to handle the total wattage of the run, at 14W per metre.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes, the strip can be shortened at the marked cut points, which fall every 4.55 cm along the reel. Cut only at these marked intervals so the circuit on each section stays complete. The full reel is 5m long.
Is it suitable for outdoor or damp use?
Yes. With its IP65 rating the strip is coated against moisture, so it works in damp and sheltered outdoor spots such as covered patios, bathroom coving and garden room eaves. For fully exposed positions, keep connections and the driver protected and clear of standing water.
How do I clean and maintain it?
Wipe the strip with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth once the power is switched off, taking care not to flood the surface. Avoid solvents that could damage the coating. With a 50,000 hour rating it needs little attention beyond an occasional wipe to keep the output bright.
