Description
This COB LED strip gives a continuous, dot-free line of light along a flexible 5m reel, with no visible diodes to spot through the run. It draws 14W per metre for 1400 lumens per metre in a warm white 3000K tone, and a CRI of Ra90 keeps colours looking true on the surfaces it grazes. The form is what US buyers tend to call LED tape or tape light, sold on a reel and trimmed to fit the job. It runs from a 24V DC LED driver, which is specified separately to match the total length you install.
Being IP65 rated and coated against moisture, the strip suits damp and sheltered outdoor settings as well as indoor ones, so it works under kitchen cabinets, along cove and skirting detail, around door reveals, or out along a covered patio edge or pergola beam. Rather than lighting a whole room, it lays down an even line of accent and task light that washes the nearest surface, so plan it as a continuous outline or under-shelf run where you want a clean band of brightness. Mounted close to a worktop the warm output reads as a soft task glow; set behind a bulkhead or cornice it becomes indirect cove lighting.
The strip cuts to length only at the marked points, spaced every 4.55cm, so you can size each run to the space without waste. It is a 24V DC strip and is not mains-direct, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver sized to the total wattage of the length fitted; do not connect it straight to a wall socket. Rated for 50,000 hours and finished to IP65 for wet and exposed locations, the flexible PCB bends around corners and follows profiles for neat, hidden installation. Aluminium profiles and matching 24V drivers are available across the range to complete the run.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip need a driver, and what size?
Yes. It is a 24V DC strip and cannot run straight from the mains, so it needs a 24V LED driver, which is supplied separately. Choose a driver rated above the total load of your run, which is 14W for every metre fitted, and keep some headroom for a stable, long life.
Can the strip be cut to length, and where?
Yes. It can be trimmed to fit at the marked cut points, which fall every 4.55cm along the reel. Always cut on the marked line so the circuit stays intact, and the offcut can be reused if it has a fresh connection point.
Is it suitable for outdoor or damp locations?
Yes. The IP65 rating means it is coated against moisture and dust, so it is fine in damp areas such as bathrooms and kitchens and in sheltered or exposed outdoor positions like a covered patio or pergola. For fully submerged use a higher-rated product would be needed.
How do I clean the strip once it is installed?
Wipe the coated surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth and let it dry before switching back on. Avoid abrasive pads or solvents, which can mark the protective coating, and clean gently around any joins and connectors so they stay sealed.
