Description
The COB LED Strip gives a continuous, dot-free line of light across a flexible 5 metre reel, with the diodes packed close enough that no individual points show through the run. It draws 14W per metre and puts out 1400 lumens per metre in a warm white 3000K tone, so a lit length reads as one smooth band rather than a row of dots. Buyers in the US will know this format as COB LED tape; here it runs on 24V DC rather than direct mains, which keeps the line cool and even along its length.
It suits under-cabinet runs in a kitchen, cove and pelmet detailing, shelf and display edges, and concealed lines above wardrobes or behind a headboard. Because the light reads as a clean unbroken line, it works best where the strip itself is tucked out of direct view and only the wash it throws is seen, grazing a wall or lifting a recess. The 3000K warm white sits comfortably in living spaces and bedrooms, and the high Ra90 colour rendering keeps finishes, timber and fabric looking true under it.
The strip is supplied on a 5 metre reel and cuts to length at the marked points every 4.55cm, so a run can be sized to a shelf or cabinet exactly. It runs from a 24V DC LED driver, which is sold separately and must be matched to the total wattage of the length you fit; do not connect it straight to a mains socket. At IP00 it is for dry indoor positions only, so keep it out of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor location. Rated at 50,000 hours, it carries an Ra90 colour rendering for accurate, even light wherever it is used.

Frequently Asked
Does this LED strip need a driver?
Yes. It runs on 24V DC, so it needs a matching 24V LED driver, which is sold separately. Size the driver to the total wattage of the length you install, allowing for the 14W per metre draw.
Where can I cut the strip?
The strip cuts to length only at the marked cut points, which fall every 4.55cm along the reel. This lets you size a run to a shelf or cabinet, but it should not be cut between the marks.
Can I use it outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This strip is rated IP00, which is for dry indoor use only. Keep it clear of bathrooms, damp areas and any outdoor position, and choose an IP65 coated strip for those locations instead.
Why is there no row of visible dots?
It uses COB construction, where the diodes sit in a continuous close line rather than spaced apart. The result is a smooth, dot-free band of light, which is well suited to coves and shelf edges where individual LEDs would otherwise show.
